We, IVARIO Dienstleistungen GmbH, are committed to making our website accessible in accordance with national and European legislation, namely the German Act on the Promotion of Accessibility (Barrierefreiheitsstärkungsgesetz, “BFSG”) and the European Accessibility Act (“EAA”). For the technical implementation, we base ourselves on the internationally recognised Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (“WCAG”) 2.1 at Conformity Level AA. This accessibility statement applies to www.ivario.com and associated pages.
1. How to use our website
Our website offers you the opportunity to purchase our analysis and solution products in a convenient manner. You can browse our range, search for products, view detailed information about our products, add items to your basket and complete the ordering process. Payment is processed via secure and reputable payment service providers. Following a successful order, we deliver the goods directly to your home.
2. How our website meets accessibility requirements
In the design and ongoing optimisation of our website, we have taken extensive measures to ensure accessibility. Below, we describe how we meet the relevant accessibility requirements:
Structure and navigation:
- Clear page structure and heading hierarchy: All pages are logically structured with semantic headings (H1, H2, H3 etc.) to facilitate navigation using a screen reader and keyboard.
- Consistent navigation: The main menu, sub-menus and footer are structured in the same way on all pages, which improves orientation and predictability.
- Keyboard navigation: All interactive elements (links, buttons, form fields, navigation elements) can be operated entirely via the keyboard. A clearly visible focus indicator always shows which element is currently selected.
Visual aspects:
- Sufficient colour contrast: Text and interactive elements have sufficient colour contrast against the background to ensure readability even for people with visual impairments or colour blindness.
- Adjustable font sizes: Users can flexibly adjust the font size via their browser settings without any content being lost or overlapping.
- Scalability and responsive design: Our website automatically adapts to different screen sizes and zoom levels (responsive design), ensuring that content is displayed optimally on desktop PCs, tablets and smartphones.
- Alternative text for images: All relevant images and graphics are provided with meaningful alternative text (alt text) that can be read aloud by screen readers. Decorative images have empty alt attributes.
Forms and interactions:
- Clear labels and instructions: All form fields (e.g. in the search function, the shopping basket, during registration, at checkout) are provided with accurate and clear labels. Help texts are available where necessary.
- Accurate error messages: Error messages when filling in forms are specific, easy to understand and directly linked to the relevant field, so that users can quickly identify and correct errors.
- Simple checkout processes: The ordering process is divided into clear and logical steps to minimise cognitive load.
Multimedia content (where applicable):
- Subtitles and transcripts: Where we provide videos or audio content, we ensure these are accompanied by synchronised subtitles and/or full text transcripts.
Technology:
- We use up-to-date web technologies such as HTML5 and ARIA (Accessible Rich Internet Applications) to ensure compatibility with screen readers, Braille displays and other assistive technologies.
- The page is designed so that, where appropriate, JavaScript functionalities remain at least partially accessible even when disabled.
3. Non-accessible content
Due to the incompatibilities and exceptions listed below, our website is partially non-compliant with the BFSG:
- Some images and graphics on the website do not have alternative text. We are working to add all missing alt text. If necessary, please contact us for information about specific images.
- On some pages, the colour contrast between text and background may fall below the WCAG 2.1 AA requirements. We are currently reviewing the website’s colour palettes to ensure that all text and interactive elements meet the required contrast standards.
- Certain interactive elements, such as special pop-up windows, may not yet be fully and intuitively operable via the keyboard, or the keyboard focus may not always be clearly visible. We are constantly reviewing and updating keyboard navigation and the visibility of the keyboard focus.
- Some of our PDF documents are not accessible. We are working to adapt these as soon as possible or to provide accessible alternatives.
- Some of our embedded videos do not currently have subtitles. We aim to provide subtitles for all videos in the future.
